While stem cells can be found in virtually all tissues and organs in the body, specific stem cells, called mesenchymal stem cells, are the ones which are responsible for treating joint, spine and muscular pain.

A minimally invasive, outpatient procedure, these stem cells can be harvested from either bone marrow or fat cells. Bone marrow stem cells are the most widely researched with studies showing the efficacy, which is the reason we chose to use them here at Calvin Medical.

During this simple in-office procedure, stem cells are harvested and then injected into injured areas, where the stem cells release both growth factors and proteins which lower inflammation, initiate the growth of new blood vessels, recruit other stem cells for added assistance with the regeneration of new connective tissues, and support a healthy immune response.

A typical patient would receive one treatment and would wait for one year to see maximum results.
